Just enjoying a lazy rainy day here in Grand Forks North Dakota. I am back after a long hiatus. Just joined goodreads.com and I suggest you do the same if you enjoy reading books. Check out the website of the week. It is hilarious and a little bit gross. Don't throw up. Reading Lord of the Flies and be sure to check out the song. It will change your life.

This week I finished the General in His Labyrinth. I echo Bolivar's words. How will I ever get out of this Labyrinth? This week I went down to Minneapolis for a wedding of a friend. Danced. Saw a dwarf dance. Laughed. Not at the dwarf, just laughed in general. Dammit. Wait. Wow this is getting out of hand. This is going to be all over the internets. Did I say "internets?" Oh well.
This week features the paintings of Mark Ryden (http://www.markryden.com/paintings/index.html). Also, we have the pleasure of listening to Amos Lee sing "A Long Line of Pain." Isn't it a beautiful, sad song? I think so. I am going to leave the poem from last week. Here is the link for it for future reference. (http://www.poemhunter.com/best-poems/bob-hicok/other-lives-and-dimensions-and-finally-a-love-poem/) It is called "Other Lives and Dimensions and Finally a Love Poem" by Bob Hicock. Watch out for the pop-up on that link, by the way. So, you all have a wonderful week.

The Beginning
First, know that I am cynical. But so is Nick Cave, obviously, and he seems to be doing fine. Second, I don't know what the hell I am doing making a blog. Tomorrow I am going to write about how I ate Doritos and watched Lost just like the other 14,000,000 people on Blogger. Oh well. There are some people I want to keep in touch with. That's what it's all about anyway these days, right? Keeping in touch. Okay then. Chst.
